4:30 AM: Hotel Pickup in Cusco
Start your adventure early with a pickup from your hotel. Travel northwest in a comfortable vehicle toward the town of Mollepata.

7:00 AM: Breakfast in Mollepata
Stop for a traditional Andean breakfast to fuel up for the hike. Your guide will also provide a safety briefing and share the day’s plan.

8:30 AM: Arrival at Soraypampa (Trailhead)
Reach Soraypampa (3,900 m / 12,795 ft), the starting point of the hike. Surrounded by towering peaks and glacial valleys, you’ll begin the ascent toward Humantay Lake.

8:45 AM – 10:15 AM: Guided Hike to Humantay Lake
Hike gradually uphill for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. The trail offers stunning views of snow-capped peaks, mountain streams, and native flora. Your guide will adjust the pace to suit the group and ensure you stay acclimatized.

10:15 AM – 11:15 AM: Arrival and Exploration at Humantay Lake
At the top, be rewarded with incredible views of the emerald-green lagoon reflecting the Humantay Glacier. Take time to explore, rest, take photos, and learn about the spiritual importance of the Apus (sacred mountains) in Andean culture.

11:30 AM: Begin Descent to Soraypampa
After soaking in the views, start the descent back to the trailhead. Hiking down is quicker and easier, taking about 1 to 1.5 hours.

1:00 PM: Return to Mollepata & Lunch
Enjoy a well-earned traditional Peruvian lunch in Mollepata before the drive back to Cusco.

3:00 PM: Drive Back to Cusco
Relax and enjoy mountain views along the return route.

6:00 PM: Arrival in Cusco
Drop-off at your hotel. End of the tour.
